# Rox review

The boldest pricing experiment in the revenue-agent lane: you buy agent work in actions, and the product behind it is promising but young.

## The take

- **Great for:** Sales teams that want **agent-run** account research, monitoring, and pipeline work without a per-seat bill.
- **The catch:** **Action metering** needs active budgeting as agent usage scales, and the independent track record is still thin.
- **Bottom line:** Pilot it free before you commit. Enterprise buyers should validate the **governance** controls, shipped July 2026, before wiring agents into the core stack.

## Specs

- **Starting price:** Free to start; Individual $100/mo (10,000 actions); Teams $255/mo (15,000 actions)
- **Free tier:** Yes (agents launch in about 2 minutes)
- **Pricing model:** Per Agent Action: each agent task costs a set number; unused actions expire monthly
- **Best for:** Teams piloting revenue agents without seat-based lock-in
- **Key integrations:** Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, Outlook, Slack, MS Teams; data warehouse sync on Enterprise
- **Watch out for:** Action burn from always-on features like Insights; no rollover month to month

## What you're actually getting

Rox puts AI agents on the revenue cycle: account research, people insights, pipeline generation, meeting briefs. The meter is **Agent Actions**. Every task an agent performs, from researching a prospect to drafting outreach, costs a set number of actions based on the model and the data involved, and the pricing page explains the mechanics in unusual detail.
The company is young and heavily funded. Rox was founded in 2024, acquired **Quilt** in September 2025, and hit a reported **$1.2B valuation** in March 2026. In July 2026 it shipped Rox Governance, permission-aware agents that respect your org chart.
Under the hood it is **warehouse-native**. Per Gartner's product profile, each agent builds an account view from CRM records, email, call transcripts, product usage, and billing data, with your warehouse as the anchor and the CRM as one input among several.

## Where it earns its keep

The pricing model is the story. The Teams plan comes with **unlimited seats**, so adoption is never taxed per head, and the bill tracks work actually done instead of licenses parked in a drawer. For teams burned by per-seat shelfware, this is the cleanest pilot path in the category, and the free start puts agents live in about two minutes.
Early users describe the daily payoff well. Gartner's verified reviewers, a small pool of 10 ratings averaging **4.7**, describe an AI teammate that surfaces account context, drafts outreach, and flags buying triggers, with real time savings on account research.
Named customers like **Ramp, MongoDB, and New Relic** give the pitch enterprise cover, and the July 2026 Governance release shows the company is building the controls a big deployment needs.

## Where it'll bite you

**Metered pricing cuts both ways.** Heavy agent usage can outrun the plan, unused actions expire every month, and always-on features like Insights consume the meter until you tune them down. Model actions per rep per month before you commit, and check the activity log during the pilot.
The public track record is **thin**. Ten Gartner ratings is the entire verifiable independent pool, the G2 listing is an entity mismatch with zero reviews for this product, and the vendor's customer metrics come from its own case studies. Nothing independent has stress-tested Rox at scale yet.
Rox also has **no contact database of its own**. Enrichment runs through third-party providers such as FullEnrich, ContactOut, and RocketReach, so data quality depends on those providers and on the hygiene of the CRM and warehouse the agents read from.

## What it costs, really

Start free. **Individual is $100/mo with 10,000 Agent Actions.** Teams is $255/mo with 15,000 actions and unlimited seats. Enterprise is custom, and that is where warehouse sync, SAML, SCIM, and a dedicated support team land.
The sticker price is the smallest part. The real cost question is **actions per workflow**: a research task, a meeting brief, and a pipeline play each meter differently by model and data volume. If a team runs out mid-month, Individual and Teams users can renew early to reset the counter, which is effectively buying a second month of capacity.
Budget the meter, then the headcount. A ten-rep team doing daily account research will burn actions on a very different curve than a two-person pod running weekly account monitoring, so price your own usage pattern before trusting anyone else's number.

## Reach for it / skip it

- **Reach for it if:** Sales and RevOps teams that want to pilot agent-run account research and pipeline work, and have Salesforce plus a data warehouse to anchor it.
- **Skip it if:** SMB teams without a data warehouse, or anyone who needs verified contact data built in. Rox meters the agent work but sources contacts through third-party enrichment providers.

## What real users said

- "Rox has transformed the way I manage my accounts and pipeline day to day. It acts like a true AI teammate and surfaces the right context in my account, drafts outreach and shares buying triggers. The time savings have been significant in being able to identify and research an account, who to target and what message to use." -- Business Development Associate, Gartner Peer Insights
- "Instead of hunting through meeting notes and emails, I can just ask Rox a question and get an update with links to source data. Trust but verify. The chat assistant feels like a genuine research analyst or SDR working alongside me." -- Validated Gartner reviewer, Gartner Peer Insights
