# Pipedrive review

The pipeline CRM that still wins on usability and price, now racing to bolt AI onto a product whose own users complain about interface bloat.

## The take

- **Great for:** SMB sales teams of **1 to 25 reps** who want a visual pipeline and minimal admin. Pipedrive is a repeat G2 ease-of-use leader, and the mobile app is a genuine standout.
- **The catch:** The **add-on model** inflates the sticker. LeadBooster, Web Visitors, and Campaigns each bill on top, and native users report growing **UI bloat** on the deal view.
- **Bottom line:** Reach for it when a clean visual pipeline and fast setup matter more than deep automation. For heavier marketing or workflow-level AI, HubSpot pulls ahead.

## Specs

- **Starting price:** $14/seat/mo (Lite, annual); $24/seat/mo monthly
- **Free tier:** No standing free plan; 14-day trial, no credit card
- **Pricing model:** Per seat, 4 tiers, plus paid add-ons
- **Best for:** SMB sales teams, 1 to 25 reps
- **Key integrations:** Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack, QuickBooks, 500+ via Marketplace
- **Watch out for:** Add-ons stack on the sticker; AI is report-level, not workflow-level

## What you're actually getting

Pipedrive is a **visual, pipeline-first CRM** built for salespeople, not admins. Deals move across a drag-and-drop board, activities sit on each deal, and the whole thing is set up in an afternoon. The company claims **100,000+ customers**, and it is the default SMB answer in most "which CRM" buyer threads.
The product runs four plans (Lite, Growth, Premium, Ultimate) plus paid add-ons that carry the heavier lead-generation and marketing features. Every plan now wears a **"Now with AI"** badge, but the AI today is report generation from a text prompt and a real-time sales feed. It is surface-level help, not a step you can drop inside the automation builder.
Treat Pipedrive as a **pipeline and activity tracker** that keeps reps moving. The advanced automation, lead capture, and email campaigns live behind higher tiers and add-ons.

## Where it earns its keep

It earns its keep on **ease of use and speed to value**. Pipedrive took G2 Summer 2026 leader badges for ease of use, setup, and admin, and buyers consistently rate it the CRM a non-technical rep actually adopts.
The **mobile app is a real standout**, which is where Close and several rivals fall down. A field or hybrid rep can work deals from a phone without fighting the interface.
At **$14 a seat annually**, the entry price undercuts most name-brand CRMs, and the visual pipeline gives a small team a clean view of what is stuck and what is close. For a 1-to-25-rep sales team that wants pipeline discipline without a RevOps hire, it fits.

## Where it'll bite you

**The add-on model expands the bill.** LeadBooster (chatbot and forms), Web Visitors, Campaigns, and Projects each bill separately, so a realistic Growth-plan team with two add-ons lands well above the $39 sticker. Third-party reviewers flag that value-for-price scores have slipped as the add-on catalog grew.
**Native users complain about UI bloat.** On r/pipedrive, reps describe redundant elements piling onto the deal view and get in the way of a clean sales flow. It is the recurring gripe from people who use it daily.
**The AI is thinner than the badges imply.** Users confirm there is no AI step inside the workflow automation builder itself, despite every plan carrying an AI label. There is also **no native commission tracking** and no clean way to put one contact under multiple organizations, both recurring requests on Reddit and TrustRadius.

## What it costs, really

Billed annually, per seat per month: **Lite $14, Growth $39, Premium $59, Ultimate $79** (that is $168, $468, $708, and $948 per seat per year, verified live on the pricing page). Monthly billing is materially higher at **$24, $49, $79, and $99**, so the "save up to 42%" annual framing is real.
There is **no standing free plan**, only a 14-day trial with full features and no credit card. Premium is the vendor-flagged most popular tier, and Growth is where email automation begins.
The real number rides on **add-ons**: LeadBooster, Web Visitors, and Campaigns each carry their own per-month fee. Implementation is free on plans over $400 a year. Price a realistic seat count plus the add-ons you actually need before comparing the sticker to HubSpot or Close.

## Reach for it / skip it

- **Reach for it if:** SMB sales teams of 1 to 25 reps who want a visual, low-admin pipeline and top-tier ease of use, and who can absorb add-ons for advanced lead generation.
- **Skip it if:** You need strong marketing automation, native commission tracking, or workflow-level AI. HubSpot for the marketing depth, or Close for built-in calling, fits better.
