# Outreach review

The enterprise sales engagement standard, rebuilt in 2026 around AI agents. Powerful at scale, heavy everywhere else.

## The take

- **Great for:** Enterprise sales orgs standardizing **prospecting, deal management, and forecasting** on one platform with a dedicated admin.
- **The catch:** A 2026 pricing remodel made costs **harder to predict**, implementation is a project, and it is over-built for teams under a few dozen sellers.
- **Bottom line:** Choose Outreach when you are an enterprise revenue org consolidating engagement and forecasting. SMB and mid-market teams get more value per dollar from Apollo, Instantly, or Smartlead.

## Specs

- **Starting price:** Custom quote only; independent reporting puts real costs around $100-$150 per user per month after negotiation
- **Free tier:** No
- **Pricing model:** Per-seat, custom-quoted; platform packaging remodeled in 2026 into Amplify Core, Plus, and Pro
- **Best for:** Enterprise revenue teams with 50+ sellers and dedicated ops
- **Key integrations:** Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo-class data providers
- **Watch out for:** Implementation effort and post-remodel pricing opacity; HubSpot integration is the top complaint

## What you're actually getting

Outreach, now at **outreach.ai** after its 2026 rebrand, is the enterprise sales engagement platform repositioned as an agentic AI platform for revenue teams. Its **Omni AI agent** and **Agent Studio** (April 2026) run prospecting, follow-up, and deal workflows, and the platform covers sequencing, dialer, conversation intelligence (Kaia), deal management, and forecasting.
The 2025 rebrand collapsed the previous tier structure into three **Amplify plans**: Core (AI agents, dialer, sequences, Kaia), Plus (real-time transcription, AI coaching, Deal Agent), and Pro (Commit-style forecasting, scenario planning). Each tier includes a credit allotment: 25,000 for Core, 50,000 for Plus, 100,000 for Pro.
A February 2026 release added the Meeting Prep Agent, Kaia APIs, an Outreach MCP Server integrated with Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Outreach Knowledge. This is the enterprise end of the lane Apollo and Instantly serve from below.

## Where it earns its keep

**Standardization.** One system of action for hundreds of sellers with governance, reporting, and forecasting attached. The AI agent layer now handles rep-level busywork at a scale point products cannot govern.
The sequence engine is the most feature-dense in the category, and the **Salesforce integration** is the gold standard. Kaia conversation intelligence is built into the same platform instead of bolted on. For a 50+ rep Salesforce shop running structured outbound with a dedicated admin, Outreach is the safe enterprise choice.
G2 sits at **4.3 across 3,400+ reviews**. TrustRadius at 8.3 across its pool. Customers include Zoom, Okta, SAP, Snowflake, ZoomInfo, and Verizon. Amplitude reported saving **$600K per year** by consolidating five platforms into Outreach.

## Where it'll bite you

**Pricing opacity** after the 2026 remodel. Buyers report difficulty predicting cost, and the rebrand to outreach.ai alongside Omni and Agent Studio changed both packaging and price predictability, generally for the worse on the buyer side.
**Implementation weight and admin overhead.** Multiple G2 reviewers describe needing a dedicated admin to manage Outreach configurations. That cost shows up in headcount, not the contract. The product rewards teams with a dedicated ops function and punishes teams without one.
**The HubSpot integration is the top complaint.** Across hundreds of G2 and Capterra reviews, the single most consistent complaint is HubSpot sync: failures, broken tag propagation, duplicate activities, and opted-out fields that do not sync bidirectionally. If your CRM is HubSpot, this is the buying decision that will define your next two years.
Four rounds of layoffs (the most recent in November 2024), a CEO change (Manny Medina out in September 2024, Abhijit Mitro in), and the domain rebrand all happened in the 18 months before the current product. The company is different from the one that built its reputation.

## What it costs, really

Outreach publishes no prices. Independent 2026 reporting (The CRO Report, drawing on buyer data) puts typical costs around **$100 to $150 per user per month** depending on negotiation and packaging. Docket's 2026 analysis puts the range at **$100 to $160 per user per month** plus **$5K to $25K implementation fees**.
A 50-rep team easily clears **$100K in year one**. The Amplify tier structure (Core, Plus, Pro) bundles credits with seats, but the credit allotment per tier means heavy AI agent usage can push you up a tier.
Model **total cost of ownership**: seats, implementation, and the dedicated admin headcount. The seat price is the smallest of the three.

## Reach for it / skip it

- **Reach for it if:** Enterprise sales orgs with 50+ sellers standardizing prospecting, deal management, and forecasting on one platform with a dedicated admin and Salesforce CRM.
- **Skip it if:** You are under 30 reps, your CRM is HubSpot, or you do not have a dedicated admin. Apollo, Instantly, or Smartlead cover SMB and mid-market at a fraction of the cost with transparent self-serve pricing.
