AI design for on-brand, editable sales collateral

Last updated August 28, 2026
The take

The first AI design tool that hands back a real editable deck, not a locked image, and exports clean to PowerPoint and Google Slides.

Great for

GTM teams with no designer who need pitch decks, sales one-pagers, and case studies that look exec-ready in an afternoon.

The catch

It designs better than it thinks. The AI nails layout, so a human still owns the words and the numbers, and credits do not roll over.

Bottom line

Reach for it when the job is on-brand collateral, fast. It is a design accelerator, not a writer or a bespoke brand studio.

What you're actually getting

Moda is an AI that designs on a real canvas you can edit, layer by layer. You prompt for an asset, a Series A pitch deck or a sales one-pager, and it drafts something on-brand instead of a flat picture you cannot touch.

The brand part is the point. Moda learns your look by indexing your website, Google Drive, and past decks, then applies it to new work. Founder Anvisha Pai, formerly at Dropbox, describes the bet as an agent that draws and moves elements the way a designer would, not one that generates a flat picture or code.

It covers more than slides: social posts, documents, carousels, one-pagers, and simple websites, all from one brand-aligned system. The company launched publicly in March 2026 with a $7.5M seed led by General Catalyst.

Overall, I think it's a very decent tool, and you should definitely try it out if you haven't.

Where it earns its keep

The export is the standout. Reviewer Tom Granot of SyntaxGTM built decks live and called the Google Slides alignment pixel-tight, the thing most AI slide tools get wrong when you leave their viewer.

The sweet spot is GTM collateral on a deadline: a sales one-pager, a leave-behind, an investor deck, a case study. Customers like Fermat, Coverbase, and Mintlify use it to arm salespeople without waiting on an agency.

For a small team, it replaces the design bottleneck. One Product Hunt reviewer moved off Canva and said Moda lets a team without a designer ship visuals that actually look sharp.

Moda handles our creative and AI generation, and it's been better than Canva for how we work. As a small team without a big design function, it lets us put out visuals that actually look sharp.

Where it'll bite you

The AI is better at layout than content. It arranges a beautiful slide, then leaves the messaging and the numbers for you to fix, so treat it as a design pass, not an author.

Expect rough edges on a young product. In Tom's hands-on test it captured 6 of 10 slides and fumbled some logo and image placement, though he found it easy to correct by prompting.

The pricing meter can sting. Credits do not roll over by most reports, so a quiet month wastes them and a heavy month runs dry. Export fidelity is vendor-claimed on complex templates, so test yours before you standardize a team on it.

The community's main gripe is also revealing: the AI is better at layout than at understanding the actual content you give it.

What it costs, really

There is a free tier: 500 AI credits per seat a month, up to 10 members, capped at 10 slide decks. Paid starts at $30/user/mo for Pro with 6,000 credits, and Ultra is $100/user/mo with 22,000 credits. Enterprise is custom with SSO and an SDK.

The sticker price is not the whole story. The real variable is credit burn per design, which Moda does not publish, so run a real week of collateral on Pro and measure before you scale seats.

For designers tired of re-editing flat images elsewhere, this feels like a step in the right direction.

The credit system with no rollover is a recurring complaint, and as a younger product, feature gaps show up.

FAQ

Moda is an AI design platform that generates fully-editable, on-brand visual assets on a real layered canvas. It makes pitch decks, sales one-pagers, social posts, documents, carousels, and simple websites, then exports clean to PowerPoint and Google Slides. The tagline says it plainly: finally, AI designs you can edit.
There is a free tier with 500 AI credits per seat a month for up to 10 members. Paid plans start at $30/user/month for Pro (6,000 credits) and $100/user/month for Ultra (22,000 credits), with Enterprise on a custom quote. The variable to watch is credit burn per design, which Moda does not publish, so pilot before you scale seats.
Yes. The free plan gives 500 AI credits per seat a month, up to 10 members, and caps you at 10 slide decks on the standard and lite design models. It is enough to judge output quality and export fidelity before you pay. Credits are reported not to roll over, so use them in the month you get them.
Yes, both, with native slide backgrounds and preserved formatting per the vendor. In a hands-on review, SyntaxGTM's Tom Granot praised the Google Slides export alignment as the standout, the part most AI slide tools break when you leave their viewer. Export fidelity on complex branded templates is worth testing with your own deck first.
Gamma is strong for clean, card-based decks you present in the browser, but reviewers note its export can shift text and spacing. Moda leans on a fully editable layered canvas and clean PowerPoint and Google Slides export. Reach for Moda when you need to leave the tool and hand off an editable native file, Gamma when you present in-app.
It pays off when the job is on-brand GTM collateral produced fast by a team without a designer. The editability and export are genuinely ahead of locked-template AI tools. It is a design accelerator, not a writer, so a human should still own the narrative and the numbers before a deck goes out.
It indexes your company website, Google Drive, and existing decks and assets to learn your visual language, then applies that brand automatically to new designs. It improves over time through a feedback loop with each project. If your collateral is confidential, review the trust center and the Google Drive scope before connecting sources.
The two recurring themes are credits that do not roll over and an AI that designs better than it reasons about content. Independent reviewer Kiswah Ashfaq put the second plainly: the AI is better at layout than at understanding the actual content you give it. As a young product, expect occasional missed slides and image or logo placement quirks.
Moda was founded by Anvisha Pai, who worked at Dropbox before its IPO and co-founded the AI recruiting company Dover, alongside Ravi Parikh, co-founder of the analytics company Heap. It launched publicly in March 2026 with a $7.5M seed round led by General Catalyst, with Pear VC and WndrCo participating.
Yes. API and MCP access are available on every plan, with concurrent-task limits that scale from 3 on Free to 15 on Ultra, and an SDK on Enterprise. Some older reviews say there is no API, which is now out of date. This makes Moda usable inside AI-agent and automation workflows, not only the web editor.
GTM, sales, marketing, and ops teams, including founders and Chiefs of Staff, who need exec-ready collateral without a designer or agency budget. The sweet spot is pitch decks, sales one-pagers, case studies, and QBR decks. Skip it if you need pixel-perfect bespoke brand craft or heavy animation, where a human designer or a motion tool still wins.
