No-code AI agent workflow builder

Last updated August 23, 2026
The take

A no-code canvas for chaining AI steps into real workflows, worth it when someone owns the credit meter and the workflows stay short of mission-critical.

Great for

RevOps and GTM ops teams who want to chain LLM steps across scraping, reasoning, and CRM writeback without filing an engineering ticket.

The catch

The credit bill is unpredictable. Passthrough pricing means the same job can cost 2 credits or 200, and a run that fails halfway still bills the nodes that executed.

Bottom line

Reach for it when the job is AI-heavy workflow prototyping by operators. If you need deterministic, audited production runs, n8n is the cleaner call.

What you're actually getting

Gumloop is a visual canvas for AI workflows. You drag nodes onto a board, connect them, and each node runs a step: scrape a page, call a model, branch on logic, write back to a CRM.

The center of gravity is AI-native orchestration. Models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, and DeepSeek are wired in, and agents can reason, call tools, and write their own code in a sandbox.

It runs cloud-only, with a company brain that pulls shared context from Slack, Drive, Notion, and your CRM so agents have background. There is no self-hosted option.

We now have a live feed of Reddit conversations where users are actively describing problems we solve without manually monitoring threads.

Where it earns its keep

It shines when the bottleneck is chaining LLM steps across scraping, reasoning, and CRM writeback. Scrape 50 competitor pages, have AI extract pricing, write each to a sheet, post a summary to Slack.

The Gummie assistant drafts a first workflow from a plain-English description, which drops the ramp for non-technical operators. Shopify, Instacart, and Webflow run internal teams on it.

It also earns its place as a bridge for non-devs. Marketing, legal, and RevOps teams ship automations that would otherwise wait on engineering, then share them across the org.

No API keys needed (yes, really). 'Gummie' AI assistant builds automations from plain English. My use: Auto-extract insights from 50+ weekly customer calls. Time saved: 6 hours/week.

Where it'll bite you

Credit unpredictability is the headline trap. One credit is $0.005 of underlying spend plus an 8% fee, and the same agent chat can cost 2 credits or 200 depending on the model, how long it thinks, and how many tools it calls.

Failed runs still bill the nodes that executed, and users have documented workflows freezing mid-run and burning credits on faulty automation. Instrument cost per run from day one, and cap each workflow to one job.

Reliability is the second landmine. Multiple users report runs stalling at 0% during traffic surges, with no status page for stretches of the product's life. Treat the canvas as a prototyping surface for anything revenue-critical, and keep a human in the loop.

What it costs, really

There is no free plan anymore. The official pricing page shows Pro at $37/mo for 20,000 credits and Enterprise at a custom quote; a 14-day trial requires a card.

Treat the sticker as a deposit. Real spend rides on model choice, runtime, and tool calls, with overage capped at $5,000 per billing period by default. Price your own pilot before trusting the headline.
