# Default review

What started as inbound scheduling is now an agentic GTM data layer with $20M behind it. The inbound piece buyers remember is now one module of a bigger bet.

## The take

- **Great for:** Inbound-heavy B2B teams consolidating **routing, enrichment, and scheduling** into one agentic layer.
- **The catch:** **Pricing moved behind a demo wall** after the pivot, and the repositioning means inbound scheduling is now a module, not the product.
- **Bottom line:** Choose Default if you want the modern inbound stack in one platform and can buy on a demo. If you just want form-to-meeting scheduling with a public price, Chili Piper's tiers are at least visible.

## Specs

- **Starting price:** Quote-based since the public pricing page was retired; independent reviews put legacy tiers around $500-$750/mo platform fee plus $20-$45 per seat
- **Free tier:** No
- **Pricing model:** Platform fee plus per-seat, custom-quoted
- **Best for:** B2B teams replacing a stitched-together inbound stack
- **Key integrations:** Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, enrichment providers, calendar systems
- **Watch out for:** Post-pivot scope: confirm which modules your quote actually includes

## What you're actually getting

Default began as inbound lead routing and scheduling. In **December 2025** it relaunched as Default 2.0, an inbound orchestration platform with website intent and session tracking. In **May-June 2026** it pivoted again into an agentic GTM platform: a data layer plus an AI agent called **Dot**, announcing a Series A led by 8VC with Craft and Jack Altman, **$20M in total funding**.
The public pricing page was retired in the move upmarket. What was a scheduling tool is now a platform with visitor de-anonymization, enrichment waterfalls, routing, qualification, scheduling, and an AI agent.
The August 2026 release added custom enrichment waterfalls and bookable calendar slots up to 10x faster. The product blog is shipping monthly.

## Where it earns its keep

**One governed layer for the whole inbound motion.** Identify the visitor, enrich the record, qualify, route by territory and account rules, book the meeting. That is the workflow Default now covers in one platform instead of a stitched-together stack of scheduling, enrichment, and routing tools.
The August 2026 release added **custom enrichment waterfalls** and faster calendar slots, making the inbound-to-meeting pipeline faster end to end. For teams replacing a patchwork of Chili Piper plus Clearbit plus a routing tool plus a form tool, Default consolidates the stack.
The $20M Series A (8VC, Craft, Jack Altman) gives the product runway to execute the platform pivot. The shipping cadence is monthly, which is faster than most tools in the inbound category.

## Where it'll bite you

**You can no longer see the price before a demo.** The public pricing page was retired with the pivot, and pricing is quote-based. Independent figures for the legacy tiers vary: ZoomInfo's pipeline blog cites a **$750/mo Startup plan** covering one workflow plus $45/user, while SyncGTM cites a **$500/mo platform fee** plus $20 to $45/seat. That variance suggests packaging is in flux.
**Buyers who wanted the simple scheduling tool now find a platform sale.** The repositioning means inbound scheduling is a module, not the product. If you came for form-to-meeting scheduling, you now sit through a platform demo and a custom quote.
**Post-pivot scope is the third check.** Confirm which modules your quote actually includes: scheduling, routing, enrichment, visitor de-anonymization, and Dot the AI agent are all separate capabilities that may or may not be in your package.

## What it costs, really

Quote-based. Default's own site confirms pricing requires a demo. Independent 2026 reviews report the **pre-pivot structure**:
- ZoomInfo Pipeline: $750/mo Startup plan covering one workflow, plus $45/user
- SyncGTM: $500/mo platform fee plus $20 to $45/seat
Treat these as **directional, not current**. The pivot to an agentic platform changed the packaging, and the quote you get on the demo may not match either figure. Confirm what your quote includes: scheduling, routing, enrichment waterfalls, visitor intent, and Dot are all separate modules.
For comparison, Chili Piper publishes platform tiers from **$15K/yr**. If you need a public price for budget approval, Chili Piper's tiers are at least visible.

## Reach for it / skip it

- **Reach for it if:** Inbound-heavy B2B teams consolidating routing, enrichment, scheduling, and visitor identification into one agentic platform and willing to buy on a demo.
- **Skip it if:** You just want form-to-meeting scheduling with a public price. Chili Piper publishes tiers from $15K/yr. Default now sells a broader orchestration platform behind a demo wall, and the simple scheduling tool is a module, not the product.
