What you're actually getting

Dazl is an AI workspace for taking a product from idea to a working prototype a whole team can build together. You start from a prompt, a design asset, or a spec, plan a PRD in Plan mode or explore on the Canvas, then refine through chat, a visual editor, or the code panel.

It is a reincarnation of Codux, the two-way visual React IDE Wix built, from the same Wix veterans. That heritage shows in an HTML- and CSS-forward editor where you can see the exact CSS each element produces, plus an elements tree, style and props tabs, and file diffs.

The frame that matters: Dazl lives before production. It is where you plan, prototype, and hand off, not a hosted app you run your business on.

Where it earns its keep

The standout idea is that Dazl bundles specs, prompts, templates, and skills into the project itself. Save a whole project as a template and its specs and prompts travel with it, so the next project starts from a real kickoff point instead of a blank page.

Tom Granot compares this to Base44's clone, which copies only the current state and loses the thinking behind it. Dazl keeps the markdown skills, code patterns, color guidelines, and component library reusable even by someone who did not build the original project.

Add real multiplayer editing, comments on the prototype, and rollback, and it starts to feel like the way product teams actually work rather than a solo vibe-coding toy.

The more you work with it, it becomes less vibe coding and more vibe engineering, to take a Karpathy term.

Where it'll bite you

The first problem is you cannot use it. The site is not accepting new signups and the pricing page is gone, so there is no way to buy, trial, or budget for it right now.

The second is evidence. It launched on Product Hunt in late 2025 and has one serious independent review to its name, so long-run stability, roadmap, and export quality are largely unknown.

The whole pitch rests on the handoff. If the exported React Router code or the dev handoff turns out messy, the before-production promise falls apart, so that is the exact thing to test the moment you get access.

What it costs, really

Nobody knows publicly. The pricing page 404s and the homepage says Dazl is not accepting new signups.

At the November 2025 Product Hunt launch there was a free tier and a one-month-free code for early users, and a few AI-directory sites quote a $25/month Pro plan, but none of that is verifiable against the live site and the numbers mirror generic competitor templates.

Until signups reopen, treat cost as an open question and get a written quote with the credit and seat model before you commit anything.
