Attio
Flexible modern data-model CRM
A flexible, build-it-yourself CRM that small GTM teams love once someone owns the setup, and bounce off when nobody does.
Small tech-savvy teams with a non-standard pipeline who want to model their own motion instead of living in Companies and Contacts.
Features stay basic even on Pro. Enrichment, sequencing, and dashboards work but stop short, so heavy sales-and-marketing needs outgrow it.
Reach for it when your GTM doesn't fit a template and you have someone to build and own the system. Skip it if you want everything working on day one.
What you're actually getting
Attio is a data-model-first CRM. You create custom objects, available even on the free tier, so a PLG motion, a partnership flow, or a marketplace with several pipelines gets modeled the way it actually runs.
It syncs contacts and email in real time, enriches records automatically, and plugs into enrichment, sequencing, and AI tools through a well-supported API.
Attio hands you a blank canvas and leaves the structure to you. Budget real setup time before your team lives in it.
As someone with 14 years experience in CRMs who was shopping around for my own business, I found Attio to be the best for small businesses. Intuitive and powerful, with a responsive support team.
Where it earns its keep
For small teams that want a personalized CRM without HubSpot's cost and admin, Attio hits a real sweet spot. A reviewer with 14 years in CRMs called it the best for small businesses, praising the intuitive feel and responsive support.
The modern UX and flexible data model are what people praise most. Teams under 25 who dislike admin work tend to call it a no-brainer.
Plug in enrichment and sequencing and you get a clean RevOps layer that runs your specific motion.
I'm impressed by the user friendliness of Attio. Tool has a lot of potential, but they do need some work on how to deal with different currencies, automations and reporting. If they fix that, it will have a great future. Companies < 25 employees, Attio should be a no brainer.
Where it'll bite you
Depth is the first trap. Even on Pro, enrichment, email sequencing, and dashboards stay fairly basic, and reviewers say currencies, automations, and reporting still need work. One tool that does everything for sales and marketing is not what you get here.
Opinions split hard. Some users find the UX slow once custom fields pile up, call the mobile app weak, and say migrating off an incumbent is more work than expected. Verdicts run from best-in-class to it flat-out sucks, so fit depends on your use case.
Test before you switch. Plan a proper build and run a migration test on real data first.
There is also Attio, but it is more cumbersome and more expensive.
What it costs, really
There is a genuine free plan: $0 for up to 3 seats, 3 objects, and 50,000 records. Plus is $34/user/mo annual ($44 monthly) up to 10 seats; Pro is $79/user/mo annual ($99 monthly) and adds Call Intelligence, sequences, permissions, and advanced reporting. Enterprise is custom.
Watch the credits. Each plan bundles seat and workspace credits, and heavy enrichment, AI, and email use pushes you to buy more, roughly $70 to $85 for 5,000 extra a month. Price your real usage, not only the per-seat sticker.
Most features are basic or limited even in the Pro tier (data enrichment, email sequencing, dashboards, etc.). So if you need one tool that does everything for sales and marketing out of the box, this isn't it, go to HubSpot.
The UI uses modern components so it "looks" modern but the actual UX is terrible. I hate doing any actions in it. Feels like the flows are fighting with me. It's also slow as hell and has so many fields and customizations it almost feels like working with a raw SQL database. Mobile app is terrible.
