AI video for B2B revenue teams

Last updated August 23, 2026
The take

The most mature sales-video platform with deep CRM signal capture, if you can stomach the per-seat bill and the upsell to Teams for integrations.

Great for

B2B sales and revenue teams anchored on Salesforce or HubSpot who need per-prospect watch data flowing into CRM as a scoreable signal.

The catch

Starter has no CRM integration. The $59/seat/mo entry price buys you a silo. The analytics layer that justifies Vidyard over Loom lives on Teams, which is custom-priced.

Bottom line

Reach for it when video is a pipeline lever tied to CRM activity. If you just need quick internal videos, Loom does that for less.

What you're actually getting

Vidyard is a video platform built for B2B revenue teams, founded in 2010 in Kitchener, Canada. It covers screen and webcam recording, video hosting, branded sharing pages, in-video CTAs, and viewer analytics that write back to your CRM.

The recording flow is fast: a Chrome extension, desktop app, or mobile app captures screen plus webcam, then generates a trackable share link. Reps can record, trim, and send in under a minute.

The newer layer is AI Avatars and Video Agent. You train a custom avatar from a 90-second clip, or pick a stock one, and Vidyard generates personalized talking-head videos from a script with CRM tokens. Video Agent takes it further: it auto-creates and sends personalized videos when a buyer triggers an action, like booking a demo or downloading content.

Vidyard has become an important part of our sales, marketing, and training strategy. We use it to create personalized sales videos, host customer onboarding and training content, and securely share internal resources without making them public. The Chrome extension also makes recording screen and webcam videos incredibly fast, which has saved our team a lot of time.

Where it earns its keep

The core win is differentiated outreach. A personalized video in a cold email converts better than text, and the recording workflow is fast enough that SDRs actually use it. Vidyard cites case studies of 4x more meetings booked and 2x response rates.

The second win is signal capture. Your CRM tracks email opens. Vidyard tracks who watched your video, for how long, whether they rewatched sections, and whether they forwarded it. That data flows into Salesforce or HubSpot as scoreable activity, so reps can prioritize follow-up on actual buyer intent.

Video Agent earns its keep for trigger-based follow-up at scale. When a prospect hits a watch threshold or a CRM field changes, an AI avatar generates and delivers a personalized video without a rep recording anything. G2 sits at 4.5 across 800+ reviews, with consistent praise for the Chrome extension, analytics depth, and CRM integration.

Fantastic overall tool. It makes creating videos especially How To's simply and efficient. I even use it in place of emails to describe problems to co workers because it is more clean than taking screenshots. I can walk through the problem and talk about what we are dealing with. Huge advantage.

Where it'll bite you

The Starter trap is the #1 gotcha. At $59/seat/mo, Starter gives you unlimited recording and analytics but no CRM integration. The viewer data stays in Vidyard, disconnected from your sales stack. You need the Teams plan for Salesforce or HubSpot sync, and Teams is custom-priced (third-party sources cite ~$99/seat/mo). Ten reps on Teams runs ~$11,880/year before add-ons.

AI avatars are still early. Multiple reviewers report the uncanny valley effect is real in B2B. One HubSpot Marketplace reviewer (3/5, June 2026) said they had a difficult time tweaking avatars to look somewhat realistic and do not use them most of the time. Budget for human-recorded video as your primary motion.

Chrome extension reliability and viewer tracking are the second tier of complaints. Reviewers flag extension crashes, videos cut short, and viewer misattribution where internal employees show up as external prospects, creating dirty CRM data. Privacy tools also make engagement tracking less reliable than it was two years ago.

Vidyard is incorrectly tracking exactly who is watching our videos. It will show customers watching videos they do not have access to, when in reality the viewer is an internal employee. This is creating dirty data, and Vidyard has not found a solution yet. The Ai avatars are also not perfect. We have had a difficult time tweaking them so they are somewhat realistic. For this reason, we do not use them most of the time.

What it costs, really

Free is a proof-of-concept only: 5 videos/mo, 15 AI videos, and limited automation. Starter at $59/seat/mo annual ($89 monthly) adds unlimited recording, full analytics, and branded sharing pages. Teams and Enterprise are custom-priced by invoice, with annual and multi-year options.

The Video Agent add-on costs $24/seat/mo annual ($29 monthly) on top of Starter, custom on Teams and Enterprise. The real bill is per-seat times your team size times the add-on, so model it for your actual headcount before committing. Annual billing saves about 30%.

Vidyard is working really well. We used to use Loom and switched to Vidyard due to the integration into HubSpot. Integrates well with HubSpot, gives you the ability to see how your videos are performing directly in your CRM.

We invested in Vidyard's AI feature, paid year one in full, and attempted cancellation within weeks. We later lost access to the platform and did not receive clear resolution support. One year later, a collections notice arrived for additional charges on cancelled services when services were also never rendered past two weeks into initial adoption and cancellation.
