The best-looking open-source CRM by a wide margin, close enough to Attio that reps will not miss the polish, and the **self-hosted build carries no record or seat caps**. The catches: it ships so fast the schema keeps moving, and the features teams eventually want, **single sign-on and deep permissions**, sit behind a commercial Enterprise license or the paid cloud.

## What it does

- Custom data model with objects, fields, relations, and views built without code, so the CRM bends to your process instead of the reverse
- Kanban and table pipelines with drag-and-drop stages for deals, and the same views for any custom record type
- Two-way email and calendar sync with Gmail and Outlook, so contact and meeting history lands on the right records
- Workflows and automations that fire on record changes, plus webhooks and a full REST and GraphQL API for integrations
- A built-in AI chat that answers questions about your data, builds views, and drafts records in plain language
- A 2.0 app SDK to build custom features and internal tools on top of the CRM without forking, keeping version control and CI/CD

## What it can't do

- Run outbound sequences or email campaigns; there are no native multi-step cadences, so sales outreach lives in another tool
- Give you SSO, SAML, and the deepest role controls on the free build; those sit in the commercial Enterprise Edition or the paid cloud
- Auto-number opportunities or projects out of the box, a gap that has stalled real migrations for teams that need sequential IDs
- Install and upgrade itself; self-hosting is a genuine Docker and Postgres project, and the self-host docs lag the cloud pages
- Match a mature CRM on row-level permissions and edge cases yet; the schema is still moving fast from one release to the next
