Sales & outbound · head to head

Instantly vs lemlist

Cold email at scale  vs  Multichannel outbound sales platform. Specs, capabilities, and what real users said in the last year, lined up.

The verdict

Instantly is cold email at maximum volume for one flat price; lemlist is multichannel outreach with steadier deliverability at a higher per-volume cost. If inbox count and send volume dominate, Instantly wins; if replies come from LinkedIn steps and polished sequences, lemlist does.

Both are sequencers with warmup. The split is economics at scale versus channel breadth: Instantly sells unlimited inboxes cheaply, lemlist sells email plus LinkedIn plus WhatsApp in one sequence.

What users actually say

Instantly, in users’ words

Don't try to warm up on your own. Take a simple tool like Instantly or Warmy, let it run for a month, and that's it.

the bad pool problem is real but it's almost always triggered by … too many inboxes warming up on the basic plan at once … instantly's support has genuinely gotten worse as they've scaled … the platform itself still works fine for sending once your inboxes are properly warmed … The warmup system is the weakest part of the product right now

lemlist, in users’ words

Take lemlist - it does email, it does LinkedIn, it holds a small database, and it can even send WhatsApp.

I've been running Lemlist daily for about 6 months and it's basically become my main outbound engine… Deliverability has been stable for me, which honestly is the main reason I'm still on it.

Which one, for you

Pick Instantly when

you're sending high volume across many inboxes and want flat-cost unlimited accounts, accepting that you'll babysit deliverability yourself.

Pick lemlist when

your reply rate depends on native multichannel steps and stable warmup more than raw send volume, and you can pay more per lead.
